it's situated next to a Buddhist temple. I don't know the exact reason, but people put things on trees, like ribbons and pieces of cloth and other things.
Hi Gandz, Very interesting picture. In the UK there is an very ancient tradition - from pre-christian (pagan) times that is usually associated with healing wells. Visitors would tie a piece of natural fabric to the branch of a 'clouty tree' and your suffering will reduce as the fabric rots! Interesting to see something similar in other cultures. Bob
